What a joyous discovery!

Filed under: Blog — Kristen @ 3:25 pm

If you are willing to recognize your problems, you will recognize that you have no problems. Your one central problem has been answered, and you have no other. Therefore you must be at peace. Salvation does depend on recognizing this one problem, and understanding that it has been solved. One problem–one solution. Salvation is accomplished. Freedom from conflict has been given you. Accept that fact, and you are ready to take your rightful place in God’s plan for salvation.

Your only problem has been solved! Repeat this over and over to yourself today, with gratitude and conviction. You have recognized your only problem, opening the way for the Holy Spirit to give you God’s answer. You have laid deception aside, and seen the light of truth. You have accepted salvation for yourself by bringing the problem to the answer. And you can recognize the answer because the problem has been identified.

You are entitled to peace today. A problem that has been resolved cannot trouble you. Only be certain you do not forget that all problems are the same. Their many forms will not deceive you while you remember this. One problem–one solution. Accept the peace this simple statement brings.

In our longer practice periods today, we will claim the peace that must be ours when the problem and the answer have been brought together. The problem must be gone because God’s answer cannot fail. Having recognized one, you have recognized the other. The solution is inherent in the problem. You are answered and have accepted the answer. You are saved.

Now let the peace that your acceptance brings be given you. Close your eyes and receive your reward. Recognize that your problems have been solved. Recognize that you are out of conflict, free and at peace. Above all, remember that you have one problem and that the problem has one solution. It is in this that the simplicity of salvation lies. It is because of this that it is guaranteed to work.

Assure yourselves often today that your problems have been solved. Repeat the idea with deep conviction as frequently as possible. And be particularly sure to remember to apply the idea for today to any specific problem that may arise. Say quickly:

“Let me recognize this problem has been solved.”

Let us be determined not to collect grievances today. Let us be determined to be free of problems that do not exist. The means is simple honesty. Do not deceive yourself about what the problem is, and you must recognize it has been solved.

“Let me recognize my problems have been solved.”

Especially for you - From Gethsemane to Gailalee*

Filed under: Blog — Kristen @ 4:13 pm

In the darkest night of your soul…

In the dim desolation of your Gethsemane.
When all of your disciples still sleep.
When your God is deaf to your cry
to remove the cup.
When your final desperate demand
to know “why God has forsaken you”
echoes across an empty Universe –

Then the time of your awakening is at hand.

You are constructing in your individual passion the drama of resurrection.
Ah! But now with a difference.
This time you’re the central character.
This time at last you play the leading part.
Fulfilling the law as you go,
marking each milestone
with your healing grace,
you walk the seven miles
from Bethlehem to Jerusalem
and are met at the place of the skull.

You know the script well for you‘ve
rehearsed every character.
You’ve been the soldier that rolled the dice and the one with the spear that pierced.
In one scene you’ve shouted “Hosanna, Hosanna” and called “Barabbas,
save Barabbas” in the next.
You’ve denied with Peter,
connived as Judas, and doubted as Thomas.
As a blind man you’ve seen,
as a cripple you’ve walked.
As a leper your sores have been healed.
You’ve puzzled as Nicodemus,
pretended as Pilate and as Lazarus
come forth at His call.

And now getting closer,
you’ve played the dear virgin
and pondered His birth in your heart.

At last are you shorn of
– in one terrible moment –
the last vestige of armor from Truth.
Now call out to God, now call out at last,
the victorious shout of surrender…

Father, into Thy Hands
I command my whole self.
It is finished. It is finished forever.

Up up you arise from the tomb that is earth,
impregnant with light of fulfillment.
Now the veil of your temple is rent
and the dazzling beauty of your sonship
is revealed in full array.
And now the most exciting glorious stupendous surprise there could ever be in all of time:
You’re still you.

All that has happened is that you
have awakened from your fearful dream
of destruction and death.
The earth is over, gone and never was.
You’re home in the heaven you never left.
And every loving thought you ever had
while dreaming is with you still
along with all your other eternal creations.

My Hymn of Gratitude

Filed under: Blog — Kristen @ 4:09 pm

We thank our Father for one thing alone; that we are separate from no living thing, and therefore one with Him. And we rejoice that no exceptions ever can be made which would reduce our wholeness, nor impair or change our function to complete the One Who is Himself completion. We give thanks for every living thing, for otherwise we offer thanks for nothing, and we fail to recognize the gifts of God to us.

This statement from Jesus in A Course in Miracles perfectly expresses my own experience that comes with the dawning of Light in my Mind.  This full, all-encompassing Self-realization for which I am indescribably grateful - that I have been restored to wholeness through the Grace of God, literally raised from death and isolation to Love and Eternal Life, in this single, ongoing miraculous instant of Grace,  and that the whole Sonship is there with me forever, including you!   Having felt the relentless pain of being asleep my own human condition, of always being afraid, uncertain about who I am, what my purpose is, not knowing how to find lasting happiness, and being tossed about in a seeming endless sea of chaos and suffering and death in every form imaginable, it was revealed to me that this devastating and unnatural state was brought about by my own futile attempts to manage and control my “reality,” of willfully denying the communication and sustenance of my very Source of Life.  I suddenly found myself (and find myself consistently) down on my knees in a total cry for help…for release from my impossible thoughts…and for an experience of Self-Knowledge that only comes from the complete act of turning my will and my life over to God.

I am here today to witness for you reading this - that it works!  There really is a whole Loving God, who created you perfectly and eternally, that your Kingdom is really not of this world…and this nightmare that you find yourself in (yes, I know this takes a moment of real honesty to admit this)  - is not God’s Will for you.  It literally is not true…and you need to simply open your mind to the Help that is all around you through the Whole Spirit of Truth - the Holy Spirit - to awaken and be shown the Truth of who you are, as God created you.  And all the fear and suffering and lack of fulfillment that you were dreaming, will literally disappear, never to have been at all.   This is my experience and it is the miracle in action.

I could recount hundreds even thousands of miracle stories and healing experiences that have occurred in me and in all of my brothers along the way home…but in essence, they all share this common element, “I can’t, He Will if I let Him…and there is no order of difficulty in miracles.” When I forget, I am always reminded.   I am so thankful that everything is given me every instant though His Grace and Love, and for every miracle that has and is replacing all of my thoughts of separation, suffering and death…that I am awakening from my nightmare at last!  But finally, my wellspring of boundless gratitude comes from the dawning of Self-knowledge that I experience and that is increased through the continual act of giving it away…of giving as God gives…constantly, indiscriminately, and without demand of any exchange whatsoever.  And so, I learn to keep it in my awareness always, and I come to know myself as His Love extending forever, without opposite, beyond the body, beyond this world and into Eternity, where I truly abide with you.

“Then let our brothers lean their tired heads against our shoulders as they rest a while. We offer thanks for them. For if we can direct them to the peace that we would find, the way is opening at last to us. An ancient door is swinging free again; a long forgotten Word re-echoes in our memory, and gathers clarity, as we are willing once again to hear.

Walk then in gratitude the way of love. For hatred is forgotten when we lay comparisons aside. What more remains as obstacles to peace? The fear of God is now undone at last, and we forgive without comparing. Thus we cannot choose to overlook some things, and yet retain some other things still locked away as sins. When your forgiveness is complete you will have total gratitude, for you will see that everything has earned the right to love by being loving, even as your Self.

Thank you for hearing the call to awaken and for answering with me!  The ancient Promise of Salvation is being fulfilled through us, here and now.
I Love you!  * Kristen
