You can’t escape love - Papaji

Filed under: Blog — Kristen @ 1:31 pm

You can’t escape love. Once you touch it you get lost. Nothing ever exists that can come out again. Everything is discharged and becomes That itself. When the river enters the ocean it does not return.

The river entering the ocean asks, "Will I always be like this?" What a joke.

The wave is afraid. "I want to forever remain a wave." The fear in the mind of the wave is: "I will be lost!" Where will it go? Even if it is lost, where can it go and what will it become? When the wave form is lost, it returns to its source. Ocean she was, ocean she is, ocean she will be. There is no time concept at all. Time is only in the mind of an ignorant person. In light and wisdom there is no such notion that "I am separate." All is unity, love, and beauty. There is no escape. Ignorance is gone. This is eternal life. This is nectar.

Even though you are That itself, still some undercurrent is working.. .to be more…moving closer to Love itself. That I cannot describe unless someone has had that experience, and can agree that there is no end to it. If it is fathomless, this love process is also fathomless. It is never-ending. It will go on increasing, like an undercurrent. Like the river discharging into the ocean.

Some say, "All is over. You don’t need to do anything more. And there is no further experience."

But I feel there is still movement, because it is fathomless, fathomlessness.

The Call to Awaken and Serve

Filed under: Blog — Kristen @ 3:25 pm

Here is yesterday’s post from my friend, Lisa Natoli’s blog, Gorgeous for God., which is a beautifully expressed message.  She asked us to pass it on…so here it is with out further comment.  With Love and Gratitude, Kristen

Lesson 176

Today is a review lesson from A Course in Miracles:

God is but Love, and therefore so I am.

(161) Give me your blessing, holy Son of God.
(162) I am as God created me.

God is but Love, and therefore so am I.

I went to a great church service in Maine on Sunday. The guest minister (Dr. Mar Imsong) was saying the church is a dying institution and that we cannot put new wine (the message of Jesus) into old wineskins (the church), that we need to put new wine in new wineskins and he said “which means we need to go back to the beginning - with Jesus with his disciples - and start there.” He said that young people are not coming to church, and probably will never come to church and what is needed now in the world is “passionate individuals with the Love of Christ in their heart who have a willingness to go out there and teach the message of Jesus to those who need it.”

He said we need to be like Jesus’ disciples 2000 years ago, and he said that we are all ministers, and he reminded us that Jesus’ disciples were not learned men, but fishermen, and that we are not to rely on the laws and practices of the church, but to lean on the message of Jesus and go teach that, and to be the demonstration of God’s Love in our daily lives.

He was saying we are going to see drastic changes in the way people hear the message of Jesus, because of the internet and cell phones and the way people communicate nowadays, and that we need to get creative and active, and stop thinking it’s going to come through the church, because it is not. And this was spoken by a minister in a church.

It was so awesome.

He’s right: We need new wineskins. The old way of doing business (and living life) is not going to work anymore. We need brand new wineskins to hold this beautiful wine that comes from the Tree of Life. We are standing smack in the middle of a global shift. If you think life is going on as it always has, then you are in for a brutal surprise. This world is changing, and fast.

Where are you?

It is impossible to do things the way we have done them before.

Here are some great quotes to consider:

“It is not the strongest of the species that survive, nor the most intelligent, but the one most responsive to change. ~Charles Darwin~

“There is nothing more difficult to take in hand, more perilous to conduct, or more uncertain in its success, than to take the lead in the introduction of a new order of things.” -Niccolo Machiavelli, The Prince (1532)

“Whosoever desires constant success must change his conduct with the times.” -Niccolo Machiavelli

“Every generation needs a new revolution.” -Thomas Jefferson

“The dogmas of the quiet past are inadequate to the stormy present. The occasion is piled high with difficulty, and we must rise with the occasion. As our case is new, so we must think anew and act anew.” - Abraham Lincoln

“In describing today’s accelerating changes, the media fire blips of unrelated information at us. Experts bury us under mountains of narrowly specialized monographs. Popular forecasters present lists of unrelated trends, without any model to show us their interconnections or the forces likely to reverse them. As a result, change itself comes to be seen as anarchic, even lunatic.” - Alvin Toffler

The colossal misunderstanding of our time is the assumption that insight will work with people who are unmotivated to change. Communication does not depend on syntax, or eloquence, or rhetoric, or articulation but on the emotional context in which the message is being heard. People can only hear you when they are moving toward you, and they are not likely to when your words are pursuing them. Even the choices words lose their power when they are used to overpower. Attitudes are the real figures of speech.” - Edwin H. Friedman

In times of change, learners inherit the Earth, while the learned find themselves beautifully equipped to deal with a world that no longer exists.” - Eric Hoffer

So, we are standing in the middle of tremendous change. It’s already occurring. We are witnessing it with our very eyes. Last night I was watching television (for the first time in over a year) and I can’t believe how dumb it all is. I also noticed on the commercials that they use a soothing woman’s voice (I feel like it’s the same woman, is it? does anyone know what I am talking about??) and it’s the exact same voice they use in the futuristic movies (like The Island, with Ewan McGregor and Scarlett Johansson) to manipulate the masses on the gigantic movie screens that are in the streets, and in every building.

I am blessing you in every way, you, who is reading this. I love you. You are as God created you. Do me a favor, please and rise above the nonsense, okay? Refuse to participate in the dumbification of the masses. Okay? Please. Do it for me. Do it for Jesus.

Watching that crap on television last night, I could begin to see why people have difficulty seeing things clearly. I can see why there is confusion and muddy thinking.

Plus every other commercial is about prescription drugs, telling you to call your doctor to get a prescription.

!!!!!!!!!!!!!

All I could think was: holy crap, people sit in front of this box every night?? And listen to this crap?

I woke up this morning, feeling drugged and disoriented.

I suppose I sound like your great grandmother giving old-fashioned advice from the stone age, but whatever. Be aware of what you allow into your mind and be conscious of how you spend your time.

Going on all around you is the creation of God. You can tap into this power and it will disrupt all your old patterns, knock out your problems, heal all sickness, and catapult you into Heaven where miracles occur naturally.

But first, you must have a willingness to change your patterns. If there is something in your life that is not working, then that is an indication that something needs to change. Move the energy in other ways than just sitting on the couch or in front of the computer every night.

Please give me your blessing, holy Son of God.

Please join with me in the resurrection.

Please be part of the solution with me, as we usher in dramatic changes.

We are no longer part of the sleeping dead, Instead we take our place with Jesus by our side and we spring to life, transformed entirely.

Like the minister on Sunday church service said: “What this world needs is passionate individuals with the Love of Christ in their heart who have the willingness to go out there and teach the message of Jesus to those who need it.”

Amen, Lord Almighty.

Would you also do me a favor and email this post to your friends, coworkers, and family? Magazine & newspaper editors. Chat groups. Community leaders.

Let’s start spreading the word.

I appreciate your help.

Awaken with Rumi

Filed under: Blog — Kristen @ 7:54 pm

Wake up, wake up
this night is gone
wake up

abandon abandon
even your dear self
abandon

there is an idiot
in our market place
selling a precious soul

if you doubt my word
get up this moment
and head for the market now

don’t listen to trickery
don’t listen to the witches
don’t wash blood with blood

first turn yourself upside down
empty yourself like a cup of wine
then fill to the brim with the essence

a voice is descending
from the heavens
a healer is coming

if you desire healing
let yourself fall ill
let yourself fall ill

Lalla Ishwari and Jesus…a divine duet

Filed under: Blog — Kristen @ 3:33 pm

I wearied myself searching for the Friend
with efforts beyond my strength.
I came to the door and saw how powerfully the locks were bolted.
And the longing in me became that strong,
and then I saw I was gazing from within the presence.
With that waiting, and in giving up all trying,
only then did Lalla flow out from where I knelt.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Everything is new now for me.
My mind is new, the moon, the sun.
The whole world looks rinsed with water,
washed in the rain of I AM THAT.
Lalla leaps and dances inside the energy
that created and sustains the universe.
Lesson 173, Today’s Review
“God is but Love, and therefore so am I.”
[155] “I will step back and let Him lead the way.”
A Gift from St. Francis of Assisi and Jesus
Filed under: Blog — Kristen @ 4:22 pm
Here is just the reminder needed for today…from our old friend St Francis.
Thanks to Lisa Natoli for posting it on her blog today!  www.gorgeousforgod.com
The prayer of St. Francis of Assisi:
Lord, make me an instrument of thy peace!
That where there is hatred,
I may bring love.
That where there is wrong,
I may bring the spirit of forgiveness.
That where there is discord,
I may bring harmony.
That where there is error,
I may bring truth.
That where there is doubt,
I may bring faith.
That where there is despair,
I may bring hope.
That where there are shadows,
I may bring light.
That where there is sadness,
I may bring joy.
Lord, grant that I may seek rather to comfort,
than to be comforted.
To understand,
than to be understood.
To love,
than to be loved.
For it is by self-forgetting that one finds.
It is by forgiving that one is forgiven.
…………………………………………………………………………………………..
.
Wow…it sure sounds alot like our review lesson for today!
I  Love it so much.
“God is but Love, and therefore so am I.”
[153] “In my defenselessness my safety lies.”
“God is but Love, and therefore so am I.”
[154] “I am among the ministers of God.”
“God is but Love, and therefore so am I.”
~A Course in Miracles, Lesson 172, from Review V
 Take just a moment to read those whole lessons today or this evening.
They will mean much more to you now….and you will never be the same again!
The Constancy of His Love Leading us Home
Filed under: Blog — Kristen @ 1:17 pm
We now review again. This time we are ready to give more effort and more time to what we undertake. We recognize we are preparing for another phase of understanding. We would take this step completely, that we may go on again more certain, more sincere, with faith upheld more surely. Our footsteps have not been unwavering, and doubts have made us walk uncertainly and slowly on the road this course sets forth. But now we hasten on, for we approach a greater certainty, a firmer purpose and a surer goal.
Steady our feet, our Father; let our doubts be quiet and our holy minds be still, and speak to us. We have no words to give to You. We would but listen to Your Word and make it ours. Lead our practicing as does a father lead a little child along a way he does not understand. Yet does he follow, sure that he is safe because his father leads the way for him.
So do we bring our practicing to You. And if we stumble, You will raise us up. If we forget the way, we count upon Your sure remembering. We wander off, but You will not forget to call us back. Quicken our footsteps now, that we may walk more certainly and quickly unto You. And we accept the Word You offer us to unify our practicing, as we review the thoughts that You have given us.
This is the thought which should precede the thoughts that we review. Each one but clarifies some aspect of this thought, or helps it be more meaningful, more personal and true, and more descriptive of the holy Self we share and now prepare to know again:
“God is but Love, and therefore so am I.”
This Self alone knows love. This Self alone is perfectly consistent in Its thoughts; knows Its Creator, understands Itself, is perfect in Its knowledge and Its love, and never changes from Its constant state of union with Its Father and Itself.
And it is This that waits to meet us at the journey’s ending. Every step we take brings us a little nearer. This review will shorten time immeasurably if we keep in mind that This remains our goal, and as we practice it is This to which we are approaching. Let us raise our hearts from dust to life as we remember This is promised us, and that this course was sent to open up the path of light to us, and teach us, step by step, how to return to the Eternal Self we thought we lost.
I take the journey with you. For I share your doubts and fears a little while, that you may come to me who recognize the road by which all fears and doubts are overcome. We walk together. I must understand uncertainty and pain, although I know they have no meaning. Yet a Savior must remain with those he teaches, seeing what they see, but still retaining in his mind the way that led him out, and now will lead you out with him. God’s Son is crucified until you walk along the road with me.
My resurrection comes again each time I lead a brother safely to the place at which the journey ends and is forgot. I am renewed each time a brother learns there is a way from misery and pain. I am reborn each time a brother’s mind turns to the light in him and looks for me. I have forgotten no-one. Help me now to lead you back to where the journey was begun, to make another choice with me.
Release me as you practice once again the thoughts I brought to you from Him Who sees your bitter need, and knows the answer God has given Him. Together we review these thoughts. Together we devote our time and effort to them. And together we will teach them to our brothers. God would not have Heaven incomplete. It waits for you as I do. I am incomplete without your part in me. And as I am made whole, we go together to our ancient home, prepared for us before time was and kept unchanged by time, immaculate and safe, as it will be at last, when time is done.
Let this review be then your gift to me. For this alone I need; that you will hear the words I speak and give them to the world. You are my voice, my eyes, my feet, my hands, through which I save the world. The Self from Which I call to you is but your Own. To Him we go together. Take your brother’s hand, for this is not a way we walk alone. In him I walk with you and you with me. Our Father wills His Son be One with Him. What lives but must not then be one with you?
Let this review become a time in which we share a new experience for you, yet one as old as time, and older still. Hallowed your name. Your glory undefiled forever. And your wholeness now complete, as God established it. You are His Son, completing His extension in your own. We practice but an ancient truth we knew before illusion seemed to claim the world. And we remind the world that it is free of all illusions every time we say,
“God is but Love, and therefore so am I.”
With this we start each day of our review. With this we start and end each period of practice time. And with this thought we sleep, to waken once again with these same words upon our lips to greet another day. No thought that we review but we surround with it, and use the thoughts to hold it up before our minds, and keep it clear in our remembrance throughout the day. And thus when we have finished this review, we will have recognized the words we speak are true.
Yet are the words but aids and to be used, except at the beginning and the end of practice periods, but to recall the mind, as needed, to its purpose. We place faith in the experience that comes from practice, not the means we use. We wait for the experience, and recognize that it is only here conviction lies. We use the words, and try and try again to go beyond them to their meaning, which is far beyond their sound. The sound grows dim and disappears as we approach the Source of meaning. It is Here that we find rest.
Faith Mind
Filed under: Blog — Kristen @ 3:31 pm
"Make the smallest distinction, however, and heaven and earth are set infinitely apart. If you wish to see the truth, then hold no opinions for or against anyone. The Way is perfect, like vast space, where nothing is lacking and nothing is in excess. Indeed, it is due to our choosing to accept or reject that we do not see the true nature of things. Live neither in the entanglement of outer things nor in the inner feelings of emptiness. Be serene in the oneness of things and such erroneous views will disappear by themselves. Those who do not live in the single way fail in both activity and passivity, assertion and denial. The changes that occur in the nothing world we call real are only because of our ignorance.
Do not search for the truth. Only cease to cherish opinion. In the chase of this and that the mind essence will be lost in confusion. Although all dualism comes from the One, do not be attached even to this One. When the mind exists undisturbed in the Way, nothing in the world can offend. And when a thing can no longer offend, it ceases to exist in the old way. When no discriminating thoughts arise, the old mind ceases to exist. When thought objects vanish, the thinking subject vanishes, as when the mind vanishes, objects vanish.
Things are objects because of the subject mind. The mind subject is such because of things object. Understand the relativity of these two and the basic reality, the unity of emptiness. In this emptiness the two are indistinghuisable, and each contains in itself the whole world. If you do not discriminate between coarse and fine, you will not be tempted to prejudice and opinion.
To live in the great Way is neither easy nor difficult. It is only different. But those with limited views are fearful and irresolute. The faster they hurry, the slower they go. And clinging cannot be limited at all. Even to be attached to the idea of enlightenment is to go astray. Just let things be in their own way, and they will be neither coming nor going. Obey the nature of things and you will walk freely and undisturbed. When thought is in bondage the truth is hidden, for everything is murky and unclear. And the burdensome practice of judging brings annoyance and weariness. What benefit can be derived from distinctions and separations? If you wish to move in the one Way, listen. The wise man strives to no goals, but the foolish man fetters himself. There is one dharma, not many. Distinctions, separations arise from the possession or clinging needs of the ignorant. To seek mind with the discriminating conceptual mind is the greatest of all mistakes.
Rest and unrest derive from illusion. In enlightenment there is no liking or unliking, just the realization of your eternal singularity."
How is Healing Accomplished?
Filed under: Blog — Kristen @ 5:55 pm
Healing involves an understanding of what the illusion of sickness is for.  Healing is impossible without this.
             I. The Perceived Purpose of Sickness
Healing is accomplished the instant the sufferer no longer sees any value in pain.  Who would choose suffering unless he thought it brought him something, and something of value to him?  He must think it is a small price to pay for something of greater worth.  For sickness is an election; a decision.  It is the choice of weakness, in the mistaken conviction that it is strength.  When this occurs, real strength is seen as threat and health as danger.  Sickness is a method, conceived in madness, for placing God’s Son on his Father’s throne.  God is seen as outside, fierce and powerful, eager to keep all power for Himself.  Only by His death can He be conquered by His Son.
And what, in this insane conviction, does healing stand for?  It symbolizes the defeat of God’s Son and the triumph of his Father over him.  It represents the ultimate defiance in a direct form which the Son of God is forced to recognize.  It stands for all that he would hide from himself to protect his "life."  If he is healed, he is responsible for his thoughts.  And if he is responsible for his thoughts, he will be killed to prove to him how weak and pitiful he is.  But if he chooses death himself, his weakness is his strength.  Now has he given himself what God would give to him, and thus entirely usurped the throne of his Creator.
               II. The Shift in Perception
 Healing must occur in exact proportion to which the valuelessness of sickness is recognized.  One need but say, "There is no gain at all to me in this" and he is healed.  But to say this, one first must recognize certain facts.  First, it is obvious that decisions are of the mind, not of the body.  If sickness is but a faulty problem-solving approach, it is a decision.  And if it is a decision, it is the mind and not the body that makes it.  The resistance to recognizing this is enormous, because the existence of the world as you perceive it depends on the body being the decision maker.  Terms like "instincts," "reflexes" and the like represent attempts to endow the body with non-mental motivators.  Actually, such terms merely state or describe the problem.  They do not answer it.
The acceptance of sickness as a decision of the mind, for a purpose for which it would use the body, is the basis of healing.  And this is so for healing in all forms.  A patient decides that this is so, and he recovers.  If he decides against recovery, he will not be healed.  Who is the physician?  Only the mind of the patient himself.  The outcome is what he decides that it is.  Special agents seem to be ministering to him, yet they but give form to his own choice.  He chooses them in order to bring tangible form to his desires.  And it is this they do, and nothing else.  They are not actually needed at all.  The patient could merely rise up without their aid and say, "I have no use for this."  There is no form of sickness that would not be cured at once.
What is the single requisite for this shift in perception?  It is simply this; the recognition that sickness is of the mind, and has nothing to do with the body.  What does this recognition "cost"?  It costs the whole world you see, for the world will never again appear to rule the mind.  For with this recognition is responsibility placed where it belongs; not with the world, but on him who looks on the world and sees it as it is not.  He looks on what he chooses to see.  No more and no less.  The world does nothing to him.  He only thought it did.  Nor does he do anything to the world, because he was mistaken about what it is.  Herein is the release from guilt and sickness both, for they are one.  Yet to accept this release, the insignificance of the body must be an acceptable idea.
With this idea is pain forever gone.  But with this idea goes also all confusion about creation.  Does not this follow of necessity?  Place cause and effect in their true sequence in one respect, and the learning will generalize and transform the world.  The transfer value of one true idea has no end or limit.  The final outcome of this lesson is the remembrance of God.  What do guilt and sickness, pain, disaster and all suffering mean now?  Having no purpose, they are gone.  And with them also go all the effects they seemed to cause.  Cause and effect but replicate creation.  Seen in their proper perspective, without distortion and without fear, they re-establish Heaven.
The Present Omega Point - with Teilhard de Chardin
Filed under: Blog — Kristen @ 3:24 pm
"Christ does not act as a dead or passive point of convergence, but as a center of radiation for the energies that lead the universe back to God through humanity, the layers of divine action finally come to us impregnated with divine organic energies. Not in a metaphysical but in a physical sense, the Energy of Incarnation was to flow into, and so illuminate and give warmth to even wider and more tightly encircling forms of embrace.
Starting from an evolutive Omega at which we assume Christ to stand, not only does it become possible to conceive Christ as radiating physically over the terrifying totality of things, but, what is more, that radiation must inevitably work up to a maximum of penetrative and activating power. The cosmic-Christ becomes cosmically possible. To sum up, Cosmogenesis reveals itself, along the line of its main axis, first as Biogenesis and then Noogenesis, and finally culminates in Christogenesis.
There are two sides to this operation, the constructive and the destructive; and when Christ is installed at Omega Point it is both these two sides that are covered and permeated by a flood of unitive force. In one great surge, Cosmogenesis becomes personalized, both in the things it adds, which centrify us for Christ, and in the things it subtracts, which draw us out of our own centers onto him.
A current of love is all at once released, to spread over the whole breadth and depth of the World; and this it does as a fundamental essence which will metamorphose all things, assimilate and take the place of all. There is, in truth, a secret message, explanatory of the whole of Creation, which by allowing us to feel God in everything we do, and in everything that is done to us (God creating all things and being born in all things) can bring true happiness to our generation. Christ is incarnate; incarnate through the combined action of determinant and liberating factors, and of grace."
God bless us, each and every One!
Filed under: Blog — Kristen @ 4:40 pm
A prayer to take you Home, from today’s lesson, "There is no death, the Son of God is free."
Our Father, bless our eyes today. We are Your messengers, and we would look upon the glorious reflection of Your Love Which shines in everything. We live and breathe in You alone. We are not separate from Your eternal life. There is no death, for death is not Your Will. And we abide where You have placed us, in the Life we share with You and with all living things, to be like You and part of You forever. We accept Your Thoughts as ours, and our
will is One with Yours eternally.
Amen.
